Our most frequently asked questions

General Queries

We are a small batch roastery and are limited by the physical size of our roaster. The smaller bags help us reach more customers with our capacity limits and ensure the maximum amount of coffee for the minimum postage cost.

We roast at least once a week, ensuring that our coffee is as fresh as possible. With the exception of Fine Fettle (which may occasionally be a little less fresh, but still equally as delicious), all of our stock will have been freshly roasted within days of being listed.

We get our green beans from a family run UK supplier who ensure all their importers have a long track record of ethically sourcing their coffee. We then roast and combine these in order to create our signature blends.

We launched for online orders in January 2021, however we have been perfecting our roasting and working on the business since 2019.

While we do not currently have premises all of our coffee is roasted at our home in Ulverston in the South Lakes,

We are not currently able to offer wholesale orders, however this is something we plan on adding as we expand. Please get in touch using the contact form and we will be happy to discuss your needs.

Shopping Queries

Orders are posted as soon as possible, you will be notified when your order has been posted. For UK orders we use Royal Mail 1st Class. For local deliveries covered by the reduced postage cost your order will be delivered by hand (contact free) to your letterbox.

Single bag orders will fit through a standard letter box. Orders of  2 or more bags may not fit through some letterboxes. If this is the case then the delivery person will knock to see if you are in, and if not delivery will need need to be rearranged.

We currently plan to roast at least once a week, if our coffee is showing as ‘Sold Out’ then please bear with us. We aim to list new stock towards the start of the week. We will keep our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages up to date with new stock details. The blends we produce from our selection will vary from week to week. Feel free to contact us and request your favourite for our next roasting day.

If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your Junk folder as some emails may automatically go there. If you continue to have issues, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

We do not currently offer subscriptions, however this is something we plan on doing in the future.

Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer international shipping. However this is something we may look to do in the future.

Unfortunately not, however we do offer a contact free delivery service for those in the local area. If your postcode is covered by this your delivery will default to it at checkout. We may look to add a collection option in the future when lockdown restrictions have eased.

Unfortunately we do not currently have any stickers. However we will be looking into stickers and other branded merchandise in the future.
